Bahasa menunjukkan Karakter?

Ingat saat belajar bahasa Inggris di sekolah? Betapa ribetnya mengingat kata kerja yang berubah-ubah sesuai dengan subyek (she does, I do, etc) dan keterangan waktu (she did it yesterday, she does it everyday, she has done it before, etc). Saat itu paling tidak saya merasa betapa kompleksnya bahasa Inggris. Belum lagi soal pengucapan yang bisa mirip tapi berbeda arti (three vs tree, this vs these).

Berikut contoh versi super dudul:

Versi Bahasa Indonesia:
Kemarin saya makan sate. Hari ini saya juga makan sate. Besok saya makan sate lagi.
Kemarin kamu makan sate. Hari ini kamu juga makan sate. Besok kamu makan sate lagi.
Kemarin anakku makan sate. Hari ini anakku juga makan sate. Besok anakku akan makan sate lagi.

Versi Bahasa Inggris:
I ate sate yesterday. Today I also eat sate. Tomorrow I will eat more sate.
You ate vs you eat vs you will eat
He ate vs he eats he will eat

Jreng jreng! Versi bahasa Spanyol:
Yo comí sate ayer. Hoy yo como sate también. Manana yo comeré más sate.
comiste vs Tú comes vs Tu comerás
El comió vs El come vs El comerá

Kelihatan kah bedanya?

Updates from the Land of Beauty

Maybe these articles below are just people's opinions.
Nevertheless, knowing how it feels to live here, I can relate to it.
It's a truth, that many people can't understand.

This is the land of the most beautiful people in the world live, but somehow, they lost something...

This is the story that relates to me, when I felt trapped inside this country, not knowing if I can go any where if I need to.

While this story reflects what I see or feel on daily basis.

The link below had given me a clearer view on how all this happened. No direct link though, as they may be able to track it (believe me, I know people who simply can't buy a new car, even get any job just because his name is on 'the' list). So if you're interested just copy this:

This is one of the day when I need some inspiration on how to enjoy another day in this beautiful country. Lucky me, alhamdulillah, gracias a Dios, it's not even a war zone like Palestine or Syria.

Most Expensive Things in The World

Not the LV bag, nor the Porsche.
It's dignity and knowledge to differentiate the truth from the false.
As the line between white and black has became blur and no one will be able to tell you which one is correct. You just have to find it yourself.
Fitnah, has written as the most dangerous thing that will destroy us. There are evidence around us. Getting clearer and more obvious. The biggest fitnah has yet arrived.
The only thing that matter is whether we know how to protect ourselves and our family from it.
Fitnah = slander, defamation, calumny, denigration, aspersion, libel, vilification, etc.
None of these words are familiar for me. So I stick with fitnah.

O Allah! I seek refuge with you from the punishment in the grave and from the punishment in the Hell fire and from the afflictions of life and death, and the afflictions of Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal.

When You Have Nothing At All

We just came back from summer vacation, knowing that the price of goods would be raised by now. Still when we found out that the rate went almost 30% in 1.5 month, it hit me by surprise.
Call me stupid or silly, I just don't get it!
It started when one side claimed winning the election and the other side claimed that they lost because the other side was cheating. But only one people or one group of people who have been working hard to fight for their right! The others, busy chatting and cursing, doing nothing than talking.

The supplies that famously gone from the market since forever, is getting worst nowadays. There was time when buying gallon of water was like buying something illegal. There's nothing on the market so we had to go around and found people who's willing to sell it to us. Same thing with rice, that the vendor would only sell it to certain people. If you are the right person, they will give it to you through the back door and make the transaction while whispering. Since when water and rice became gold?

Grocery shopping has never been my favorite. Here, it became a tasks with a lot of pressure. You have to go to several places to find one thing. The whole day could just go by, and still you go home with a long list.

One thing that has bothered me a lot is when you in the line on cashier in supermarket, then people in front of you had to put back some of their groceries because the number that's shown up on the screen's getting higher than the money that they have in hand. Not saying I've never been there...
But how can you go home with several packs of milk, when some people could not even buy one? It's just a horrible feeling, and I don't like that... Even though we have the money, it doesn't feel right to spend it even on our basic necessity.

Then we have people who will buy the whole big bag of milk powder, then send his security guard to buy another one, then send the driver to buy another one. Unbelievable!
